Following a recent survey on an Elite I wonder what bilge pump fittings are the norm' on an Elite, the report recommends four automatic pumps with float switches (two in each hull) also the fitting of :escape: hatches in each hull, any comments appreciated.

Ask your surveor to list the number of capsized Prout ANYWHERE in the world EVER.

To my knowledge there hasn't been one.

Anyone know different ? If so please share.

So this makes the escape hatches a bit redundant. A suggestion far more sensible on a "modern" French Style cat (Lagoon, Foutaine Pajot etc) which have escape hatches built in.

The bilge pump suggestion is more sensible. We have two manual pumps in a 33 footer. Maybe there is call for 4 in an longer boat. More likely stick with two and a roving pump with a long pipe so you can pump a hull from the comfort of the dry bridgedeck.

(If the Bridgedesk is wet I think is it time to leave)

You might want to question how familiar your surveyor is with Prouts. These suggestion indicate the answer is "not very"
