Shredded our headsail. Looking for others who have replaced their sails. who made the new ones and are they happy with the results. I have a current quote from Jeckells and Calvert sails.

We replaced our 20 year old 150% Genoa for our Quest 33 recently. We go quotes from Doyles and Jeckells. Jeckells were cheaper and quoted with a stongetr material so we went with them. All OK so far but it did cost about a grand sterling.

We replaced the sails for our Quest 31 with a roller genny and a fully battened main from Jeckells, plus a new boom, single line reefing on the main, and a 'stack pack' or whatever they are called for collecting the main and stowing it on the boom, and have been very pleased. I think Jeckells were Prouts original sail suppliers - certainly they seem to know Prouts. Chris Jeckells is the man to talk to.............and badger down on price!
Regards, Chris

My shredded genoa was a roller. I noticed some damage to the roller and am now debating with myself whether to get rid of the roller and go to hank on. I have a spare jib that works with the roller, that is how I noticed the roller was damage, couldn't raise it past the second foil. Why did you go with a fully battened main? I hope everyone will answer this question for me. Our Prouts have a very very small main with not too much extra room for an extended leach line. Does your fully battened main have much greater square footage than the stock main? I can certainly appreciate the "stack pack". Makes for a quick douse of a fully battened main. Do you feel the fully battened main has increased your performance?
